From Tuesday 3 March - entries close at 9.30am for a 10am start

You can enter on noticeboard sheets or by arriving in person no later than 30 minutes before play. Even if your name is on the sheet it would be appreciated if everyone could be at the club 30 minutes before play. “No Shows” can play havoc with the faw for teams. Playing fees will be collected on arrival.

Vale Kerrie Geard 1951-2026

It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the sudden passing of our current Secretary, Kerrie Geard.

Kerrie served as Secretary of Sandringham Bowls Club for the past two and a half years, ensuring the club and committee were well managed. Her very successful business background and years of serving on Beaumaris Rotary committee stood her in good stead to take on this role. Kerrie had also been the first woman to take on the role of Beaumaris Rotary Club President.

Kerrie took up bowling about 4 years ago when she decided to move on from golf. As with every new challenge she excelled making it on to our first side. Victoria Golf Club was still an important part of her life where she continued to play Bridge.

Kerrie’s gardening skills, her chutnies, relishes and jams were second to none and raised countless dollars for many local organisations.

Having been widowed at an early age with her two boys, Adam and Sam, still to be educated Kerrie took up the challenge to give the family the best of everything which she did by paving a brilliant career.

Kerrie was a remarkable person who will be missed by so many, but especially Adam, Sam and their families. Our thoughts are with them

$1K Raffle Day Record Profit

Although the final tally is not in as yet - we are looking to make a record profit from the sale of tickets, lunch and bar takings! Well done to all members who participated and contributed but especially Sam Ingram and his team for putting it all together.

Congratulations to the 3 finalists who decided to split the thousand dollars 3 ways. Bad luck Mark who just missed out. And a special thank you to Stan Bernhard who drew out the final few names.

Sandy Bowls - A Great Venue for End of Year Parties

Two very successful get togethers were held at the Club over the last weekend.

Bowling proved to be popular with both groups - thanks to Chuckles and Ken and their spectacular organisation cut throat bowl offs!

Thanks Ray White and Community Bank

Thanks to Ray White Real Estate Cheltenham and the Community Bank Sandringham we have purchased brand new Club bowls - available for use by new bowlers, come and try visitors and for functions. Note the wonderful colours - replacing the very out of date black bowls.
