▪ Wear your Club uniform and display your name badge during Pennant games
▪ Aim to arrive one and a half hours before play starts to allow for practice, team meeting, collection of fees and Skip’s talk, then official roll up from 15 minutes before start of the game.
▪ Be aware of, and comply with etiquette points detailed elsewhere on the Club website.
▪ Of major importance, is the need for a positive attitude towards your team members. Whilst Pennant is a competitive sport, remember you are part of a team and you want the game to be an enjoyable experience for all.
▪ Praise good shots.
▪ Avoid negative criticism.
▪ Give your support in positive terms.
▪ Play in the position chosen by the Selectors.
▪ Abide by the requirements for advising unavailability.
▪ Check the Selectors’ Noticeboard and Club website each Thursday for the following week’s team selections, venues and duties.
▪ If you are unable to get to the Club to view the selections and/or you are unsure as to how to access selections on the Club’s website, seek advice from one of the Selectors or a member familiar with the process.
▪ Remember that unless you have advised your unavailability before selections are made, it is essential that you check your selection status, otherwise if you have been selected, you may leave your team short by not turning up.
