Some came through U3A and others heard about the opportunity to join the Learn to Bowl classes through friends. In all 15 people were shown the fundamentals of bowling by 5 of our club coaches. The first day was held in perfect conditions and will continue over the next month. Contact Wendy Gleeson if you are interested in these classes or any future classes.
Message from Troy Eaton
G'day All
Tomorrow night will be the last night we run Last Bowl Standing Bowls Competition before next pennant season. Unfortunately bad weather has wrecked some of these planned nights. But the weather is looking fantastic for tomorrow night.
Let's make it a great night for Sandy Bowls and encourage as many members as we can to turn up tomorrow night and have some fun bowling.
Even bring a friend along to have a roll & enjoy the night.
Sausage sizzle starting @ 5:30pm and the start of Last Man Standing will start @ 6:30pm. The bar is open as well.
Hopefully see as tomorrow night
Thanks Troy
( Chuckles will be attended the footy so I will be running the evening )
The Club is now an accredited U3A course provider!
Through the diligence of Wendy Gleeson there are currently 14 “learn to bowl” people enrolled in a course to begin on the morning of Friday 24 April continuing weekly until Friday 24 May.
Coaches Cathy Spencer, Ian Fletcher, David Kirby and Peter Sullivan will be there to provide expert tuition.
Contact U3A or Wendy Gleeson (wendy.gleeson2@bigponnd.com) if you are interested in signing up
The Triples Championships were held as a one day event in blustery and sometimes rainy conditions on Saturday 11 April.
Congratulations to the team of Peter Sullivan, Liz Lawless and Pam Henderson who took out the trophy!
Dear Bowlers -
I hope you are well - this is a message to all our suppliers and customers.
I’m writing to inform you that our pizza shop, Hello Bello Pizza, was severely damaged in a firebombing incident at approximately 2:30 a.m. on 8th of April. As a result, we are unfortunately unable to operate for the foreseeable future.
At this stage, please place any pending orders or deliveries on hold until further notice. If we have any subscriptions / ongoing payments with your company please cancel them as soon as possible. We will contact you as soon as we have more clarity on our situation and any plans to resume trading.
During this incredibly difficult time, a couple of close friends and I set up a GoFundMe page to help support the owner, Assad, who has been deeply impacted by this event. If you can help, any contribution, no matter how small, will genuinely support him and his family through this period. These last few days have been incredibly hard for them. If you’re not in a position to donate, simply sharing the page would also go a long way in supporting the owner and his family.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out to Assad during these tough times. If any of you know Assad personally, you know the passion, hard work, and care he has put into this business.
We appreciate your understanding and support. If you have any urgent queries, please feel free to reach out to me on this email
Kind regards,
Michael Psarakis

Always good to make it to the Finals but there can be only one winner in the Men’s Propertional Singles and that was Mark Robertson who defeated Trevor Isaacs.
