Both Sandy Men’s and Women’s Fours came up against strong opposition in their opening rounds in particular the men who bowled against the reigning champions. But our congratulations go to all those who competed from our club. A great experience!
Always something to learn and no doubt we will hear all about their games and the days to come as spectators.

Long term member and ex bowler Margaret Barker was recognised by Present Judy Force at this week’s AGM.
Margaret was thanked for her countless years making sure the club’s kitchen and facilities were running smoothly always ensuring supplies were provided and the kitchen and surrounds neat and tidy, Along with Stan Bernhard she also maintained the garden and pathways ensuring a picturesque, neat and tidy surrounds. There were a few magpies who benefited over the years - first job on a Monday was their feed and water!!
The Monday morning workers were always spoilt by Margaret providing a cuppa and biscuit at the end of the morning’s tidy up.
Unfortunately Margaret’s car has called it a day and so has Margaret who is unable to be at the club on a regular basis but we hope she will join us from time to time.
Congratulations to Kerrie Geard and Mark Robertson who won the Mixed Pairs Championship defeating Pam Henderson and Peter Sullivan in the final.
We witnessed some outstanding bowling from both leads and skips with some very close and changing heads.
Well done to all who competed in the championship.
Troy Eaton and Trevor Isaacs have won the 24-24 Men’s Pairs Championship, competing in the final against John Thompson and Trevor Barnett.
Congratulations to all who participated throughout the season.
The formidable team of Liz Lawless and Judi Passmore resoundingly won the final of the 24-25 Women’s Pairs.

Experienced and not so experienced Bridge players are invited to join us for a game of Bridge on Thursdays between 1.30pm and 3.30pm. $5 per head.
