Inaugural Trivia Night - A Huge Success

Winners are Grinners - “Mihochek” Team won, second place to “The Macs” and Third to our Sponsors, Nurse Next Door. All other teams requested their scores remain a secret. No prizes for guessing why!

Thanks to Mark Robertsn and Melinda Phillips for testing our knowledge and skills and to others who helped behind the bar, setting up and generally helping out.

Lots of dollars were rolled in the hope of winning the very expensive Champagne and Whiskey. Sam Ingram just got in on a measure. - a very happy winner!

Sandy Bowling Club - a Great Place for Functions

Darcy and Carlos jointly celebrated their 21st Birthdays at Sandy Bowls Club. An ideal function venue with inside and outside areas. Great atmosphere.

Thanks to club members David Kirby, Chuckles (aka Jeff Falkiner), Ken Spencer, Tony Brockbank and Paul Hodges for helping out on the night. And, of course, Ingrid Edelmaier for her organisation.

Thanks Ray White and Community Bank

Thanks to Ray White Real Estate Cheltenham and the Community Bank Sandringham we have purchased brand new Club bowls - available for use by new bowlers, come and try visitors and for functions. Note the wonderful colours - replacing the very out of date black bowls.

Change of Club a must following co-win of the 2025 VB Wrong Bias Trophy

Snyds (aka Peter Snyder) has run for cover absconding to Middle Park Bowls Club knowing he was the joint winner of the 2025 VB Wrong Bias Trophy. The new Club accepted his application not realising his past performance at Sandy Bowls Club.

Meantime Trevor “Barman” Isaacs was forgiven his misdemeanours due to his reliability behind the bar. Many doubt the validity of this decision.

Thank You to Monday Workers

President Judy Force and her helpers Liz, Pam and Joan turned on a delicious morning tea to thank the Monday morning workers.

Throughout the year early on Monday mornings there is a group of members who congregate at the club to ensure the clubrooms, greens and surrounds are in tip top condition.

Many members such as Stan, Margaret and Lachie have been working quietly behind the scenes for many years, but reinforcements are needed. Please talk to President Judy Force if you would like to help out, or just turn up at around 8.30am on a Monday morning - byo gardening gloves!
