Bowls Director - Responsibilities

The Club’s aim is to foster the game of bowls, provide competition for players and promote fellowship and respect amongst its members.

Primary responsibility for this rests with the Bowls Director, elected by and accountable to the Board. It covers the following functions:

·       Saturday Pennant

·       Tuesday Pennant

·       SDELBA Pennant

·       Thursday Pennant

·       Club Championships

·       Coaching and accreditation

·       Social Bowls

·       Accreditation of Umpires and Measurers

·       Tournaments

·       Bowls Victoria Liaison

·       The Bowls Director will liaise with the Selection Committee regarding his/her responsibilities, as appropriate, from time to time.

·       With the approval of the Board, as this portfolio places significant responsibility on the Bowls Director, he/she will delegate functions to consenting individual members and/or subcommittees as required for the performance of these duties.
