There was music, delicious food, lots of raffle prizes, plenty of chatter and visits by our local pollies - the Mayor of Bayside Debbie Taylor-Haynes opened the season and was accompanied by local Councillor Geoff Leigh. Hon Tim Wilson, Member for Goldstein, had to be in Canberra so was an apology however our State Member Hon. Brad Rowsthorn was able to join us despite his busy schehdule. The new manager of the Sandringham Community Bank, Chris Munro joined in the fun as well.
Dorian Grey generously provided music throughout the afternoon. Not much dancing but great background to all the chatter.
A big thank you to all our workers but in particular Joy Elliot and Trevor Isasacs who worked tirelessly in the lead up and during the event. Trevor had been on bar duty with the soccer club until late the previous evening! Also thank you to Michael Jewell the driving force behind the event.
